Here I have included some of my work as an instructor, this includes artifacts of courses past taught as well as some current work.
Spring 2026
EDTL: 7071 – Critical Discourse Analysis
- As part of my practicum for the Graduate Certificate in College Teaching, when working with Dr. Colvin I had the opportunity to workshop research questions with graduate students in the course. Below is a worksheet that was part of that workshop.
Fall 2025
MATH: 1550 – Engineering Calculus 1
- As part of my practicum for the Graduate Certificate in College Teaching, when working with Dr. Farthing I had the opportunity to lecture in a 200 person lecture hall on 3 occasions on three different topics. This included related rates, trig identities, and then trig substitution. Below is the first two of those lectures as recorded via ipad.
Fall 2024
MATH: 1350 – Quantitative Reasoning For Business
- This was the first instructional assignment I had at The University of Iowa. It was through the mathematics department. I had three sections of 45 students. To improve my ability to provide materials to students to study from I created a website with all the study materials and recorded videos going through practice problems. The website provider has degraded and the document links have the permissions closed, but the videos are still available for viewing:
